Senior Software Engineer – Custom Engineering Service October 2008 – May 2013

Lead technical developer tasked with creating custom reporting and data utility solutions for the Geneva and Syncova products using Geneva RSL and SQL Server.
Created custom reports for both the Java client and .NET Geneva client including Trial Balances utilizing custom GLMaps, custom performance reports utilizing Geneva’s TWR functionality, custom audit reports incorporating dynamic threshold measurement inputs, and custom profit and loss reports.
Executed mini-development lifecycles for custom data extraction and presentation requests. Development environment includes the core system utilities in Unix and SQL Server Reporting Services development in Visual Studio 2005 and 2008.
Utilized Geneva’s primary data extraction language known as Report Scripting Language (RSL) which is an Advent proprietary hybrid of C++ and SQL used to extract data from the Geneva’s object oriented database system.
Developed robust graphical outputs using Microsoft’s SSRS development environment.

Product/Project Manager – Geneva Product Development April 2006 – October 2008

Member of the Geneva product development team tasked with the development of new and upgrade functionality.
Project manager for the Expense Module product development effort. The Expense Module is an add-on to the Geneva product which automates the calculation and posting of expense related debits and credits.
Interfaced with 20+ clients in various development and validation capacities including workflow design, calculation validation and contracted beta roll outs.
Supervised a team of 3 software engineers, 2 QA engineers and the documentation group to deliver the first two versions of the Expense Module.
Participated in various development roles on a number of other projects including Wash Sales, German Tax, Performance Reporting, and Fund Structure processing.
Deployed and maintained development and production instances in Advent’s Unix environment. Executed testing scripts, troubleshooting utilities and upgrade procedures for various development and support efforts.
